Cosy bungalow on Trou aux Biches coastal road

This charming 2-bedroom bungalow sits along the coastal road of Trou aux Biches—just moments from the island’s famous beach - is perfect for a beach holiday and serves as a cosy pied-à-terre for exploring the north of the island and its attractions. It offers easy access to a supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, and more, all within walking distance, while a nearby bakery is accessible by car. Ideal for couples or families with children.

Recently renovated (November 2025) with thoughtful decorative touches, the bungalow provides a cosy and comfortable base while exploring the north of Mauritius and its stunning beaches. It features two bedrooms, one shared bathroom, a welcoming living area, and a covered terrace overlooking a small tropical garden equipped with an outdoor shower and Weber charcoal barbecue.

During the day, some road noise can be expected. For light sleepers or late risers, we recommend using the second bedroom. To ensure comfort, two additional air-conditioning units and portable fans have been added in the living room, allowing guests to keep doors and windows closed to minimise noise. Two indoor dining areas offer flexible daytime seating. In the evenings, when the neighbourhood quiets down, the terrace becomes the perfect place to relax with its outdoor sofa, dining table, and serene garden ambiance.

Both bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and furnished with comfortable large double beds. The shared bathroom is conveniently located.

Location & Access
The beautiful Trou aux Biches beach is only about 150 metres from the bungalow.

Guests have full access to the property, including a private gated parking area at the back that fits two small cars, as well as the terrace and garden.

Property on the coastal road:
The bungalow is located along the coastal road, so guests can expect some traffic noise from cars and buses, especially during the day. Light sleepers may wish to bring noise-canceling earplugs for added comfort.

The entire place is at your disposal including a private gated parking in the backyard for 2 small cars. Guest will enjoy the private terrace and garden.

During your stay:
The housekeeper looks after the apartment for 3-4 hours a day from Monday to Saturday, except Sundays and public holidays). A small team takes care of the garden once a week.

TOURIST FEE:
A €3 per adult (12+) per night Tourist Fee applies, as required by the Mauritius Revenue Authority. If not included in your Airbnb booking, it will be collected in cash (EUR or MUR, no change) at check-in, with a receipt.

Other important information 
* Coastal road traffic noise: As this is bungalow is on the coastal road, traffic noise starts in the morning and early evenings but is quiet at night while guests are sleeping.

* Transportation: Renting a car is highly recommended as public transportation (bus) in Mauritius is not very reliable and does not operate at night. Taxis are available but can be expensive.
