One bedroom apartment located in residential area of Pointe aux Canonniers, on the ground floor of a 2-storey building. Featuring one bedroom en-suite, a spacious terrace overlooking the swimming pool and garden, small living room and equipped kitchen. Ideal for a couple on a holiday trip. French bakery just around the corner, 2-3 restaurants, local shops and bus stop at walking distance. It is 5-10 mins from the center of Grand-Baie and 900m from Mon Choisy public beach (3 mins by car).
The space
En-suite bedroom equipped with air conditioning and fan, high speed internet available (Wifi) in the apartment, small living room with TV overlooking kitchen equipped with microwave, Nespresso machine, and electric hob, fridge.
Dining table is on the spacious terrace overlooking the pool and garden which is shared with the other guests of the residence.
The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and public holiday.

Other things to note
Being a residential area, there are a few dogs in the neighbourhood, so you can expect some barking from time to time.
The residence is in a residential area of Pointe aux canonniers. It is 5-10mins by car from busy center Grand Baie.
Renting a car is highly recommended for your stay. Public transportation (bus) in Mauritius is not reliable and also buses do not operate at night. Taxis can be expensive.

Pointe aux Canonniers is a charming residential area located just 10 minutes from the bustling, tourist-friendly center of Grand Baie. While quieter than its neighboring hubs, it offers plenty of conveniences including a French bakery, a wine store, a local supermarket, a pharmacy, a 24/7 Medical Center, and a fuel station. For dining, there are 2-3 restaurants nearby as well.
The public beach of Mont Choisy, located less than 5 minutes away by car or bus, is perfect for morning and afternoon walks, jogging along its long sandy stretch, or relaxing while your children play. Its calm lagoon is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and various water sports. For a more tranquil experience, visiting the beach on weekdays is highly recommended. Sunsets here are particularly stunning.
Trou aux Biches, another nearby village, is just a 10-minute drive away and offers additional options for dining, shopping, and exploring the local culture.

Renting a car would make your stay more comfortable, especially if you plan to explore the island. However, there is a bus stop very close to the property, with buses coming by quite frequently. You can easily catch a bus to Mont Choisy Beach (just two stops away) or to the center of Grand Baie, which is about 15 minutes by bus. However kindly note buses do not operate as from 6 p.m. until the next morning.
