The apartment is part of a secure, gated estate comprising four properties: three 4-bedroom villas and this apartment.

Right next door, a lush orchard is home to more than 20 tropical fruit trees and spices, including mango, lychee, coconut, papaya, banana and avocado. Depending on the season, you may even spot some delicious local fruits growing nearby! 🥭🍌🥥

Guests can also enjoy the larger shared garden, which features a fun adventure playground for children. Parental supervision is required.

Travelling with a larger group? The three neighbouring villas can also be booked together with the apartment, making the estate ideal for family gatherings and group holidays.

Guest access

Guests have exclusive use of the entire first-floor apartment, including the private pool, terraces and designated parking area.

The apartment is accessed via its own staircase.

A friendly on-site resident occupies the ground-floor apartment, with a separate entrance to the right of the stairs.

Other things to note

Access: The apartment is on the first floor and is accessed by stairs, so it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Getting around: A car is essential for exploring the area and getting around comfortably. Shops and restaurants in Calodyne are approximately 5–10 minutes away by car, while the lively resort town of Grand Baie is around 15–20 minutes away. You’ll also find local convenience shops in the village.

Home-cooked meals: Our housekeeper can prepare home-cooked meals outside her regular

working hours. Please arrange this directly with her in advance, including the menu and cost.

Tourist fee: A tourist fee of €3 per adult (aged 12 and above), per night, applies as required by the Mauritius Revenue Authority. If this fee has not been included in your Airbnb booking, it will be collected in cash at check-in, in EUR or MUR. Please note that no change will be given, and a receipt will be provided.

Air conditioning: In light of the island’s current energy constraints, and as part of our energy-saving measures, the bedroom air conditioners operate daily from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Neighbourhood: Grand Gaube is an authentic local village, and some neighbours enjoy listening to music during the day. Occasionally, you may hear music from nearby homes. We appreciate your understanding as part of experiencing everyday local life.
